Agriculture has traditionally been the backbone of the Ukrainian economy: 70% of territory is covered by the agricultural sector. Ukraine is an important producer and exporter: #1 sunflower oil exporter, #2 grain exporter and #3 corn exporter globally; #1 honey producer in Europe and #3 globally; #3 exporter of poultry in Europe and #7 globally.
On arrival in Ukraine, all tour members are transferred to the train station. Take fast train to Lviv (InterCity). Upon late arriving in Lviv, be transferred to the hotel to stay overnight.
After breakfast, have a meeting with consulting company on the issue of doing business in Ukraine. Have a city tour of Lviv, taking in many well-known landmarks. This afternoon depart for Ternopil, having technical visit on the way (producer of juice concentrate in Ukraine, which is among top-10 juice concentrate producers in Europe). Stay overnight in Ternopil.
This morning have technical visit to the mixed farm, which land bank is 25 thousand land (seeding, pig breeding & dairy farming, crop farming). Have an exciting tour to Kamianets-Podilsky castle – historic fortress and one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine.
Following breakfast, depart for Zhytomyr region. Visit a department of Soufflet Group - malt-house with annual capacity 80 thousand tons. This afternoon visit farming enterprise with Dutch investments (land bank – 7 thousand ha, crop farming: wheat, barley, corn and soybean; dairy farming and pig breeding). Stay overnight in Zhytomyr.
After breakfast depart for Kyiv, having technical visit on the way. Visit seed plant which is specialized in cleaning, calibration, drying and packing agricultural crops with capacity of 10 tons per hour. Upon arriving in Kyiv, check-in the hotel. This afternoon have a sightseeing tour of Kyiv, taking in many well-known landmarks.
On having a breakfast at the hotel, be transferred to the airport. Have a registration for the flight. Departure.
