    It is known all over the world that Ukraine is an agrarian country. 25% of the world’s black soil (chornozem) is focused in the territory of Ukraine. Wheat, corn, sugar beet, sunflower, legumes and tobacco are dominant crops. Annual wheat production in Ukraine is 35 to 55 million tones and total cereal production can be as high as 90-100 mln tones. Domestic needs, even if sharply increased, are about 35-40 mln tones, making as much as 60 mln tones available for exports. This is one fourth of total world grain exports.

  • Day 1


    Arrival in Kyiv, Ukraine. Meeting & greeting with tour guide. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. Kyiv City Tour · Welcome dinner at the traditional restaurant


    Day 2


    Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to family-owned farm (land bank – 1,500 ha; cattle herd – 300 head- count, including 170 dairy cows, Aberdeen-Angus cattle and sheep herd; corn and sorghum for silage and alfalfa for haylage). Lunch on the way. Visit to dairy farm (land bank – 10,200 ha; total cattle herd - 7,556 cows, milking herd – 3,165 cows; biogas station). Transfer back to Kyiv. Dinner at the local restaurant.


    Day 3


    Breakfast & Check-out. Departure for Uman, Cherkasy region. Visit to mixed farm (land bank – 3,500 ha; seed production: grains & corn; wheat and corn breeding; horticulture and cattle farm- ing). Lunch on the way. Visit to mixed farm (land bank - 16,000 ha; crops - corn, winter wheat, rapeseed, soybeans, sunflower, sugarbeet; no-till and mini-till). Arrival at the hotel, check-in. Dinner at the restaurant.

    Day 4


    Breakfast & Check-out. Meeting with Ukrainian Agri Council to discuss agribusiness in Ukraine. Visit to grain elevator operated by one of Ukraine’s key exporters of sunflower oil and crops (annual capacity 60,000 tons of grains). Lunch at the restaurant. Arrival in Odesa. Check-in and dinner at the restaurant

    Day 5


    Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to dairy farm & chees-making (land bank – 250 ha; cattle herd – 1,018 including 580 milking cows; free stall, open lot for milking herd; cheese-making factory). Lunch  at the restaurant of winery. Visit to Shabo Winery & Wine Culture Center including wine culture center, processing facilities, vineyards and tasting room, including wine degustation. Transfer back to Odesa. Dinner at the restaurant


    Day 6



    Breakfast & Check-out. Free time in the city: shopping, visit to wholesale agri-food market. Transfer to the airport. Check-in the flight. Departure
